Metal finds for CA 65 were only found in Locus 2 and these were primarily of iron slag (103 pieces varying in size). The slag was mostly found in the area of the large rocks (see sketch on pg 111 for location ), and because of the volume was counted as bulk slag (started on 12/7/10). The remaining pieces of metal were 4 fragmentary pieces of bronze which were not cataloged. An iron nail ( 20100059

20100059
) and an iron nail piercing 2 iron sheets ( 20100044
20100044
) were the only 2 cataloged finds. Most of the metal finds for CA 65 is evidence of production in the area.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
