Bone Analysis:

Two pieces of metal were found in excavation of CB 52 during the 2012 season. One was an iron fragment found in Locus 1 , and probably a modern piece from modern activity in the Civitate B area.

A fragment of bronze was found in Locus 3 among other ancient materials, and so is an ancient item. The bronze additionally preserves a finished edge, one rounded edge, and curved profile, and so was cataloged ( 20120027

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
