Closing photos were taken of locus 8 and locus 9 .

Balk trim was carried out in the Western Extension (area around 173-E/49-S), carrying back the north balk wall approximately 20 cm.  During this operation approximately 2 bowls (24 cm. in diameter, 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments mixed with plaster were recovered.  Approximately one latte box of pottery sherds and approximately 1/3 latte box of bone fragments were found.  One special find was made (#1:  Lateral Sima strigal fragment).  The surface area of the Western Extension was also scraped down.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
