A new trench was laid out in an area to the southwest of the CB-27 stone formation area on the cardinal parts.


Top soil cout made in all six meters. Soil was dark brown and heavy with roots. Cir. 20 pieces of terracotta were recovered. In meter A2, a fragment of vitrified terracotta, p. 55 a crucible fragment, was found at a depth of 10 cm (#1)

The second cut to cir. 20 cm produced no material and soil becomes slightly more medium brown.

A third cut into A3 and B3 to 20 cm produces galestra.
