T-26 Summary: Work continued with hammers and mestiline in exposing the rock/tile packing at 45-60 cm. Tile: 1/4. Pottery: Negligible.
T-23 Summary: Meters A/11-12 were excavated to ~60 cm and the soil carefully checked. Tile: 1/4. Pottery: 1/2.
Work began in T-23 with pick and sieve. No finds so changed to carefully checking soil in wheelbarrow. Meter A/11-12 excavated to 60 cm. Soil shows orange/black light burn soil and non-burn gray soil.
Work in T-26 was continued with hammer and mestilina. The rock/tile layer was uncovered in meters C/77-79. At ~60 cm, a heavy burn layer was found in meter C/79 (orange/black spotted soil, light). The rock packing rises to ~45 cm in C/77 and dips down from C/77 to C/79. Few stones in C/79.
The stone/tile packing in T-26 was photographed today.
