Introduction

Tesoro trench 25 occupies the grid designation H-I 20-27.  It is being excavated primarily for the sections it will reveal.  Those of primary interest are that on the south and that on the west.

The south section of this trench will, hopefully, provide a continuation of certain stratigraphic levels such as the burn layer previously noted in T-22 west extension (see MSI) and T-21 (see AGI and FAI)

What will also appear in the south section are the edges of Tesoro Trench bb (see TGIII). It is not quite clear at this point whether the burn layer extended into <T-bb and was excavated.

The north section of the trench should reveal much of the same information as the south section.

The west section (H-I/20) is being excavated so that it will be a continuation of the stratigraphy ion the east baulk of T-25 4-E/ 13-20.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
