T5E (+T5B test cut)

The cut was taken down 15 cm below the level previously excavated in the respective trenches.  The center part of the cut showed bedrock, as in T5E, and on each side a layer of heavy clay with patches of burned soil.  1 box of

tiles was dumped.  A few pieces of pottery were found and two pieces of bronze.  Also one rocchetto.

The profile of the N edge of this cut showed the following strata (depth 10 cm): red-yellow-black.

The second and third layer were taken off.  Stones began to appear, in line with the walls uncovered in T6C.  5 boxes of tiles were dumped.  Some pottery was found, part of a rocchetto.  One piece of frieze.
