The cut in O-P 2-4 was lowered another 0.50m. to a depth of 1.50m. below ground level in O.  O-5 was leveled to the same surface [P-5 contains a tree].  Tile and coarse ware pottery fragments fill the layer throughout, although, small lumps of bronze, fragments of fine bucchero and of imported pottery appear in O 4-5.  At the end of the afternoon, cleaning of the heavy stone packing in N-3 was begun and will be continued to the level of O-3.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
