The cut in O-P 2-4 was lowered another 0.50m. to a depth of 1.50m. below ground level in O. O-5 was leveled to the same surface [P-5 contains a tree]. Tile and coarse ware pottery fragments fill the layer throughout, although, small lumps of bronze, fragments of fine bucchero and of imported pottery appear in O 4-5. At the end of the afternoon, cleaning of the heavy stone packing in N-3 was begun and will be continued to the level of O-3.
