In the process of cleaning the pottery bed, large pockets of carbon appeared which raised the possibility that the pithoi might be part of a cremation cemetary. According the loose pieces were removed and the trench photographed. Cleaing revealed the bases of at least one large pithos and three or four smaller pots.

The thin tile layer was finished with the discovery of a terracotta right hand along the southern edge 1.10 m down and 5.10 m across (west). a heavy layer of large stones appeared from 2.60  to 3.10 m across in the uppermost part of the cut but sloping down to the north.

A new trench 1AD 3m x 11m was laid out E-W along the southern edges of 1Q, 1S, and 1U. Topsoil was removed.

The trench was taken down and cleaned so as to define the stone formations (bedrock, small laid stones, wall). A continuation of the southern wall appeared clearly at 1.30 m facing N along the W edge of the trench.

A new trench was laid out parallel to 1AB, see and topsoil was removed starting from the N edge. 2 boxes of tiles.
