THe excavation of locus 4 was continued.  The trench was lowered approximately 10 cm.  Three bowls (24 cm. in diameter, 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments were recovered.  Approximately 1/5 latte box of bone was found.  Approximately 1/2 latte box of pottery sherds was found along with a large piece of a coarse ware rim.  Several pieces of what appears to be part of a cover tile were saved.  Four special finds were made (#1:  Pietra Fetida fragment, #2:  Frieze Plaque fragment, #3:  Sling Stone fragment, #4:  Sherd with black slip).

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
