A trench was laid out 15 m EW by 10.40m NS so as to fill the space defined by the gap between Tesoro 2 ( ) and Tesoro 5 ( TG, book 3, 1968 ), pp. 3-29). A grid system was set up with numbers runig from east to west and letters from north to south. The trench was begun with a strip along the eastern border 4.80m wide (EW). Topsoil was removed, two boxes of small worn tiles produced, and three pieces of frieze found - cornice fragments at F3 and D3, and a piece of horse race frieze at D1.
