Continued to work around the coarseware vessel, Y/17-18, in order to remove it.  All the walls were defined and then the entire bottom portioin of the bowl was removed in one piece, retaining the soil inside the vessel.  The soil around the vessel was yellowish-brown, however the soil on the east side of the vessel did have numerous inclusions of carbon, but no signs of burning.  After the bowl was removed the remaining soil in Y/18 and Y/17 (about 50 cm. of 17) was removed.  As the cut moved toward the north baulk, at a level of 170 cm. b.d, a concentration of dark brown soil with heavy terracotta inclusions and carbon was discovered in the north-east corner of the cut, running through the 150-170 cm. depth of the cut.  This area produced 15-20 small fragments of tile and plaster, and about 4 fragments of pottery, and 6-8  fragments of bone.  The bone came mainly from the dark brown soil.

A shallow cut was taken in Y-Z/19-20 in order to level the area to a depth of @120 b.d., and to define the edge of the T-6a backfill.  This produced 12-15 fragments of very worn tile, and 8-10 fragments of pottery and shell.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
