The cut in meters K/65-66 was completed in 80cm b.d.  1/2 latte box of pottery and only a few pieces of tile were found.  The soil to 80cm remained the relatively clean yellow-brown stratum.

A second cut was begun in this area and meter L(M)-66 was taken to 93cm b.d.  This cut produced only minimal amounts of pottery and tile.  The soil in this cut began to change to the characteristic plaster layer -- a mixed matrix of dark soil with plaster and tile.

Meters K/67-68 were carefully hand picked and mestied to a level of 110cm b.d.  The cut is not quite finished.  This area produced approximately 1 and 1/2 lattes of pottery and 1/2 cassette of tile fragments.  Finds from this area include: stamped bucchero, a twisted bronze pin and two rocchetti fragments.  The soil here continued to have plaster layer characteristics.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
