Work began defining the rocks in the eastern half of the trench extension.

Special Find #1

Locus 4

61.34 E / 40.45 S

111 cm BD / 26.86 m AE

The baulk wall surrounding the tree was straightened as well. Work started again in the original CA-81 trench. Everything from this trench will stay separate from the extension since it is locus 2 . The original trench was scraped down beginning along the east wall and moving to the west to better understand whether the line of rocks in the extension also extend into CA-81's original trench. There have been an interesting amount of small iron droplets in the southeast corner of the original CA-81 trench. These will be bulk found in a dinki box.

Special Find #2

Ridged Pottery

Locus 2

59.46 E / 39.21 S

Work continued defining the rocks in the original CA-81 trench, bringing the elevation down to that of the extension.

Special Find #3

Bronze Bead

Locus 2

59.59 E / 39.79 S

103 cm BD / 26.94 m AE

Rocks are appearing across the entire trench. There also seems to be a lot of little iron droplets being uncovered all over the original trench in locus 2 .

Locus 2

Sifted Find

Loose dirt was picked up and end of day elevations were taken. Since no end of day elevations were taken yesterday due to the rain, elevations were taken in the extension as well as the original trench. Plastic tarp was also laid out across the extension over the rock feature to protect the rocks from the rain during the weekend.
