Tools: pick axe, shovel, buckets, trowels, wheelbarrow, hand clippers, plumb bob, line level, tape measure
Soil: gray/brown claylike
Passes: 1 pick pass beginning in the south- aiming for a 10cm pass
Began and completed another pick pass through locus 2: worked on straightening the baulk walls. Soil remains the same as it has been throughout the locus.
12:30pm - 3:30pm
Tools: pick axe, shovel, buckets, trowels, wheelbarrows, hand clippers, plumb bob, line level, tape measure
Soil: gray/brown claylike - possibly changing to a gray crumbly soil in the northern 1/3 of the trench
Passes: 1 complete pass through the trench beginning from the south
Began a pick pass from the south. Came across several large chunks of terracotta pan tiles. Find #1 is a large terracotta fragment that is possibly a pan tile. The coordinates are 94cm Below Datum Point, 183.415E 48.445S. Possibly began to see a soil change in the northern 1/3 of the trench to a grayer more soil-like texture. Cleaned the baulk walls.
