Daily Log

August 1, 1994

Work continues in meters K-L-M/72 and M/71 to an average depth of 120 cm.  The soil in K/72 and a portion of L/72 is still medium brown while the other meters of this area exhibit a dark, carbon filled soil.

Material is very heavy within the dark carbon soil.  A bronze pin, possibly associated with the fibula found on Friday, has been found as well as an unusual piece of plaster.

  • Find #2
  • M/72
  • 117 cm
  • Plaster with unusual finished edge; on the flat finished face, there appears to be some kind of slip or finishing

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
