5A The stone stele base was cleaned in hope of finding an inscription but none was present. The base was then shifted and tiles found directly under it, thus showing that it had been moved from tis original position. No recognizable fragments of a stele were found. The rest of the trench was also taken down. Along the line of the southern projection of the west wall (see p. 115 , tr. 1AD) the outside edge of another wall began to appear raising the possibility of a doorway.

5B The trench was taken down below the level of the column (?) base and a moderate tile layer on the same level as that in 1AD discovered. The tiles clearly ran under the base, so that it too appeared to have been carried in from elsewhere.

1AB + 1AE The northgoing wall was cleaned and the level taken down moving west of the wall. The burnt area extended immediately W of the wall and produced a great number of burnt pottery (1 box), tiles (6 boxes) and some carbon, all of it on topĀ  of a stone pavement (?) which extended from the N (edge of the main wall to 2.50m facing N, where the stones became more scattttered. The area was enclosed to the W by a curving wall made of irregular stones which extended west and north of the main wall.
