Starting in the northern meter of the trench another pick pass of the entire trench was completed in the afternoon. The soil was of a slightly lighter brown appearance with occasional patches of yellow. A few more fragments of tile were recovered (4 pieces). There was far less organic material but roots continued to appear. These were clipped. The trench was cleared down and closing elevations were taken.
Closing Elevations 22 nd June 2012:
N.W. 50 cm BD
N.E. 60 cm BD
S.E. 77 cm BD
S.W. 64 cm BD
Tile: 12 pieces (all 5-10 cm in size and heavily worn)

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
