Excavation continued in locus 2.  A pick-pass was carried out across the entire trench, which lowered it approximately 5 cm.  The stump positioned against the middle of the west wall was removed.  Some trimming of the eastern side of locus 2 was carried out.  Approximately 3 bowls of well-worn terracotta fragments were recovered.  Fortyfour sherds of pottery were found.  A roccetto

Unusual terracotta fragment

fragment and an unusual terracotta fragment were made special finds (S.F.#1 and #2).  A piece of iron slag was made a bulk find.
