Excavation continued in Locus 5 . The soil remains a dense clay-like grey-brown soil. Large quantities of pottery were recovered. Tile that is well-preserved and in large quantities was also recovered. Excavation was carried out using mini-picks and trowels. Later it was decided to excavate part of Locus 4 to remove any materials present and to clarify the topography of the area. A 1 x 1 m section was carried out at the north-eastern section wall. This uncovered no materials, but confirmed a lack of

ancient activity in this area.
