Out of the three extensions from this year, the original CA-81 trench yielded the most bone pieces, with locus 2 containing 62 pieces. This area was the entire 2x2 meter trench directly east of CA-83 and most of the bone was recovered north of the southern wall that stretches through CA-83's extension, CA-83 , CA-81, both of CA-81's extensions, CA-79's extension and CA-77 . Significant amounts were also found in loci 4 and 5 , with 57 and 22 fragments. The remaining loci contained much less, considering they were all at topsoil level. A few pieces of burnt and burnished bone were also recovered and quite a few animal teeth and tusks.

Only one bone find was catalogued in CA-81 during the 2013 season for a representative species example, a cow metatarsal bone fragment ( 20130238 ).

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
