T6D

The topsoil was taken off from the extension of T6D in an area extending 9.20m to he E.  This and the second layer produced 1 box of tiles, 1 piece of cornice and 1 piece of banquet frieze.  The S wall from trenches T6B, C and the W part of T6D seems to continue.  The strip S of the wall was left for the moment, although the topsoil there had already produced a piece of horserace frieze ( above, p. 57 ).

T-8 extension

The south part of the first extension strip (12-16 on the grid) had already been stripped down about 20 cm, so the same was done to the remainder of the area (F-A on the grid).  In the central part (G-J), bedrock already protruded;  this was left and cleaned.  A piece of horse-race frieze showing the trophy was found in F-14.

In A-12/13, a column-base was found and cleaned, in line with those of T-8 proper.

The workman then started taking a second layer from the second 5 meter strip (16-21).  When this was done, they began work on the second layer at the south end of a third 3 meter strip (22-24).

In all, four boxes of tile fragments were dumped, and 1 box of vase fragments found.
