Excavations in the CD12 area yielded a total of 271 sherds. Trench yield varied by size. Impasto made up the majority of fabrics (239) with fineware (16) a very distant second. Coarseware (13), Bucchero (2), and Medieval pottery (1) were present in very small amounts. There were 81 diagnostic sherds, mostly rims (60).
Most of the sherds are very worn and almost no joins were found.
In the following pages, pottery will be recorded by trench.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
