Daily Log

July 27, 2001

The rockface and baulk wall (80S and 81S 195E) were trimmed.  3/4 cassetta of terracotta and 1/8 latte box of pottery was recovered.  The rockface appears to be a constructed wall possibly a terrace or defensive wall.  The northern area of the rock packing in locus 8 was defined to find the possible edge of the wall.  1/16 cassetta of terracotta and 1 piece of pottery was recovered.

Work continue on trimming the baulk wall (80S/81S 195E and 77S/78S 195E/196E).  1/8 cassetta of terracotta and 3 pieces of pottery were removed.  The trench was drawn and elevations were taken on marked spots.  (see state plan)

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
