The cut, P 2-5 was cleared to a depth of c. 0.25 m. The area is heavily packed with large stones and roots. The surface NT: A-B 0-3 was cleared and a dump constructed to the northwest of the grid. The remainder of the morning was spent clearing the slope directly north of the excavated area of brush and trees.
Note- A gray ware pottery handle fragment discovered near the surface joined to a body fragment from the North Terrace II trench [see J.H. Book II, p. 37 ]
