Summary

Through excavating in T S1, T1 AK-N it became clear that there is a building complex immediately north of the main building. This building is at a lower ground level, but seems to be attached to the northern wall of the main building and might therefore be part of it, forming a wing extending towards the slope of the plateau. The walls are made of fairly large stones, with a width of 1.20m. The follow the sloping of the ground and the northern end wall lies close to the steep descent of the hill. The complex forms two rooms, about 6m wide, but there is no indication of a doorway. Evidently there

were clay walls resting on the foundation walls, as seen in the profiles. Under these walls extends the burnt area which surrounds the pit excavated in 1967 and shown on p. 152 .

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
