Locus 2

95 cm BD / 27.02 m AE

Some small bone pieces are starting to appear. A large rock possibly associated with the architectural feature in CA-70 , was defined. Hand picks were used to even the baulk walls and trowels were used to define the rocks near the northeast corner. Pickpasses continued east to west. The soil remains the same yellowish-brown clay soil with no change. Since the northwest corner is about level with CA-70 , pickpasses were focused towards the middle of the trench, which is higher. Roots were clipped.

Pickpasses began along the eastern meter of the trench to lower that half to the level of CA-70 .

Locus 2

Much of the material has been recovered from the southeast corner, consistent with the line of rocks in CA-70 . The rest of the afternoon was spent using hand picks starting in the northeast, southeast, and southwest corners of the trench and moving across the entire rest of the trench. Loose dirt was gathered and roots were clipped.
