Daily Log- 24 Jul 09

AM- Began excavating in locus 7 in sections A & B. Soil is dark brown and relatively free of inclusions in section A, though there is a fair amount of terracotta

recovered. The area in section B west of the tree root is more compact. The soil has some carbon and galestra inclusions. In and around the rubble wall, fairly large pieces of terracotta have been recovered.

Pottery: Locus 7- 5 FW impasto body, 35 impasto body, 64 CW body; 10 CW rims, 7 impasto rims, 3 CW handles, 1 bucchero handle, 4 impasto bases.

Bone- 24 animal
