Daily Log

June 14, 1968

Good weather after several days of rain: an auspicious day for a novitiate to start digging.

A trench 5 m wide and 10.70 m long laid out at east end of Civi.  Label - 2G.  A grid system devised: each square meter designated by a leter (A-E west to east) and a number (1-10 north to south) - see plan of 2G.

Workmen began clearing away strata A.  Angelo et al cleaned away rubble along sides of dump.  Four boxes of tile were dumped, a few pot sherds.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
