Excavation of the T72 trench during the 2015 season was to some extent successful. It was successful in the fact that a 6 square meter area northwest of the linear rock lines discovered in the 2014 season was explored, which was a goal of the 2015 season. However, due to the quickly reached bedrock, found throughout the trench, not much additional information can be gained other than the linear rock lines do not continue in that direction.

What material was recovered in the trench did not provide the area with secure context because the trench, when excavated, was largely in Locus 1 , a decontextualized top soil layer. Locus 2 was declared when the soil changed slightly in color and consistency

immediately beneath which bedrock was found throughout the trench. Because of the bedrock not much material was found in the trench. Making the second goal of the season unattainable.

Since bedrock was hit throughout the 3 by 2 meter trench excavation of T72 had concluded.

Final Coordinates of the trench are:

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
