Daily Log- 8/7/15
It was forgotten in the narrative yesterday to note that with the trench being reopened a 1x1 m extension was made closer to the tree. A new diagram of the trench will be drawn to show the entire extent. The 1x1 extension was counted in locus 15 . The stump in the southeastern corner was defined. Locus 15 has been lowered to the level of locus 13 & 14 . Locus 15 will be closed.

Opening Locus 16 . Locus 16 will encompass 13 , 14 and 15 . It is the lower part of the top soil layer in this area. Much of it was exposed last year and then rained on and so is now baked out. Locus 16 will remove the little remaining top soil. It is a crumbly grayish brown soil. Opening photos, elevations and drawing have been done. A pick pass was done in the locus, already stones are beginning to appear.

Continued to define the rocks of locus 16 . 2 pick passes were done in the western half. No stones were found. Very little material was recovered.
Since most of the work was defining and little elevation was dropped no daily closing elevations were taken.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
