Daily Log

July 9, 1996

Work continued this morning in meters W71-72/S34-35. The lens (Locus 1) was taken out and levels to approx 40cm. Materials recovered include 14 pottery pieces and 17 bone fragments. The soil remained dark brown in the lens. A bucchero fragment found at 30-40cm was made a find.

We began a 0-10cm cut in W73-74/S34-35 to see exactly how far west the lens extends. Dirt will be removed with a pick to expedite the process.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
