Backfill was removed from meters N6,E1 N5,E1 N5,W1 N,E1, N5,W2 & N6,W2 and the area of the trench defined. Since plastic was not placed over meters N7,E1 N7 or N7,W2 it was difficult to determine where the backfill ended and unexcavated soil begins. As a result, about 2 latte boxes of pottery was accidentally removed along with a small portion of the shelf of the baulk of these meters. The amount of damage to the baulk will be determined later.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
