Work began with a pick pass starting in the W end of the trench.  Another pick pass was begun.



This morning’s pick pass was continued.  A more grayish, sandy soil is being revealed, this will be pursued as a potentially new locus.  A fragment of vitrified terra cotta was found.

26.72 mAE


The grayish soil is proving to have been more localized, and more material is being recovered, including bone.  A more brown soil may be coming up as well.  Closing elevations were taken.

SE: 26.72 mAE

SW: 26.77 mAE
