Work began with a pick pass starting in the W end of the trench. Another pick pass was begun.
This morning’s pick pass was continued. A more grayish, sandy soil is being revealed, this will be pursued as a potentially new locus. A fragment of vitrified terra cotta was found.
Special find #5: vitrified terra cotta
The grayish soil is proving to have been more localized, and more material is being recovered, including bone. A more brown soil may be coming up as well. Closing elevations were taken.
