The floor of the cut in A-B/68-70 was cleared down to a uniform level of ca. 95cm. The bulks of the trench were then shaved down for clearer definition and a section drawn of the north bulk.
In G-H/68-70 a cut was continued to a depth of ca. 85cm. The soil was dark brown in color. Following cleaninf of the base of the cut, several of the large rocks uncovered yesterday in G/68-9 were removed. A few small pieces of tile were found beneath these rocks. Several additional large rocks were also encountered in the southern end of the cut in meters H/68-69. All of these rocks in G-H/68-70 constitute a continuation of the rock pack formerly encountered in meter E-F/68-70. One half
cassetta of mixed tile and plaster (80% tile, 20% plaster) were found in the cut. Only two pieces of pottery were discovered.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
