Tools: pick axe, baulk hammer, trowels, dustpans, buckets, wheelbarrow, line level, plumb bob, tape measure

Soil: burn layer of charcoal infused soil

Passes: two-thirds pick pass in SW and NE corners

Morning spent trimming baulk walls to begin to straighten them out.  Began pick pass in SW and NE corners.  Lots of bone, pottery, terracotta and medium sized rocks.

Baulk trim produced 1 and a quarter bowls terracotta; 70 bones.

12:30-4:30pm

Soil: charcoal filled soil

Passes: one-third pick pass in NW corner

Pick pass in NW third of trench.  Continue cleaning from earlier picking.  Still an incredible amount of bone and pottery.  Rain started at 3:45 witn incredible effort by all supervisors and Heather and Andrew to clean up loose soil since the trench cannot be covered.

Terracotta: 2 bowls

Pottery: 846 pieces     116 baulk trim

Other: bone 635 pieces      bulk bronze, 1
