A.M.

Work continued in locus 4 with the removal of destruction debris from the meters 34-36 S and 171-173 E. The debris is being cleared from the eastern edge of the trench, proceeding in a westwardly direction. There is an increased presence of carbon in the soil, and frequently, large bones are found. Small rocks are a continual hinderance to the removal of material. Photographs were taken of the cut spanning meters 28-29.5 S, 167-169 E.

P.M.

Removal of terracotta and other materials from the dense Locus 4 continues.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
