Began with a pick pass across southern half of the trench and knocked down baulk walls that had been created. Locus 1 designation remains due to dark organic soil.


Continued picking entire trench and working on baulk walls. A bronze needle was recovered in northern portion of the trench.

57S/178E = 30cm below datum = 27.70m (absolute elevation)

55S/178E = 32cm below datum = 27.68m (absolute elevation)

55S/177E = 29cm below datum = 27.71m (absolute elevation)

53S/177E = 34cm below datum = 27.66m (absolute elevation)

A total of 1 bowl terracotta was removed from the entire trench.
