The floor of meter M-L/71-76 was scraped and straightened with mastilini.  Roughly 1/2 a cassetti of exposed tile were removed, along with about 1/2 a latte box of tile.

Portions of the floor are still comprised of the medium brown soil with plaster inclusions, whereas other parts are the lower, dark soil with heavy carbon.  The floor of this area is now roughly at 100-105 cm.

A new cut was initiated in K/71-76 to a depth of cir. 45-50 cm.  Soil at this end is extreemly rocky and nearly sterile.  Occasional fragments of tile and pottery are present, although in very limited quantities.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
