A new test trench was laid out at the base of the slope of the Tesoro plateau. The trench is located to the south of Tesoro Trench 27. Points are located according to cardinal points. The trench is currently 2X3 meters in plan

Topsoil cut over all six meters produced about 1/5 a cassette of tile and one small fragment of pottery. The second cut to the depth of 10-15 cm revealed bedrock over several portions of the trench. Soil around the bedrock is grayish and devoid of material.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
