Declared Locus 4 and 5 and took photos. Locus 4, archaic surface is dark brown with little pottery and slightly more tile. Locus 5 is backfill ramp (see sketch w/points). Picked across Locus 4 and recovered 1 bowl of terracotta.

57S/178E = 50cm below datum = 27.50m (absolute elevation)

55S/178E = 61cm below datum = 27.39m (absolute elevation)

55S/177E = 58cm below datum = 27.42m (absolute elevation)

53S/177E = 57cm below datum = 27.43m (absolute elevation)

Locus 5 coordinates and elevations:

NE: 55.20S/175E 27.58m (absolute elevation)

NW: 55.25S/174E 27.55m (absolute elevation)

SW: 57S/174.80E 27.61m (absolute elevation)

SE: 57S/174.60E 27.75m (absolute elevation)


Removed stump from trench.

Found in Locus 4 outside of tree stump. Recovered 1/8 bowl of terracotta.
