All loci excluded from the charts contained no metals.

In T-57 during the 2014 excavation season, there was not a significant amount of metal recovered. Only loci 2 , 3 , 5 , 6 , 7 , and 8 yielded any metal or slag finds. There were 6 metal finds and 4 pieces of slag recovered. Locus 2 and Locus 8 had the most finds with two pieces of metal and one piece of slag in Locus 2 and three pieces of metal in Locus 8 . A notable find in Locus 2 was a bronze pin ( 20140075 20140075 ) found in the northwest portion of the locus. Within the same pick-pass, a crucible fragment was found (uncatalogued). Other notable finds include a possibly modern bronze disc (uncatalogued) found in Locus 6 and an iron conical fragment found in the northeast corner of Locus 8 ( 20140082 20140082 ). Also recovered from Locus 8 were a bronze pebble and a piece of slag. A bronze rivet was found in Locus 3 . These finds, along with the crucible fragment

continues to demonstrate that metal was produced locally at the site, however it is unclear if any metal production was occurring in the vicinity.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
