FRIDAY, JUNE 26
Began to excavate down around stones located in meters E78-79/S21. Line of stones (Locus 3) apparently continues in a southeast direction through the southern extension of CA 44. The level of earth was removed around the stones slowly, in hopes of revealing information that might aid in the identification of the nature of the feature. So far, nothing has been determined and the finds are scarce.
An account of all recovered material will be recorded in P.M. section.
The continuing line of stones was labelled Locus 8, and the areas to the northeast and southwest of stones were labelled Loci 9 and 10, respectively.
Baulks trimmed, and 8 pieces of heavily worn terracotta were discovered in the process. In Locus 8, 2 pieces of worn terracotta were recovered. In Locus 9, 4 pieces of worn impasto (2 of which join) were found. In Locus 10, 1 small piece of worn impasto was recovered.
Stones continued to be defined throughout the afternoon. In their present state, the entire line of stones appeasr to have a slight curvature to them.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
