CA79 was extended at its southern perimeter with a two meter by two meter rectangle at 65E/41S and 63E/41S to 65E/43S and 63E/43S. The entire extension was declared Locus 4 .

Opening photos were taken. Soil in Locus 4 is very dark brown, filled with roots, stumps and numerous small stones. Soil consistency is loose and hummus like.

This morning work began in Locus 3 concentrating on revealing the wall/linear rock feature. We used mini-picks to break up the soil.

Work continued this morning through the entire trench. Pottery and tile (half-bowl) were recovered. Soil is becoming lighter in colour. Rocks are being defined also. The linear stone feature is also becoming more apparent.

Excavation continued throughout the trench. Tile and pottery continued to be found. Soil remains a light brown. The rock feature from CA 72 appears to extend 1.5 meters into the trench.
