Daily Log

June 25, 1975

Work continued in the same area as the day before.

In grids J/26-27, it was noticed that the south wall of the room J-P/28-30 did not continue to the west.  We seem to have reached an area outside the walls of the north building.  In these same grids, at the level of the foundations of room J-P/28-30, a heavy tile fall was unearthed.  The tiles seem to cover the entire area of the grids.  They have been cleaned and left in situ.

1 cassetta of tile dumped.

In grids J/26-27, above the heavy tile fall, several lumps of bronze were found.  In grid K/27, a pumice-like residue, possibly slag, was found.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
