Yesterday is was decided that CA-81 will be extending 2 meters to the east to fill in the space between CA-81 and CA-79 . This extension will help us get a better understanding of the rock feature throughout the CA area. Aerial photographs were taken and the area was cleared of all roots, leaves and other debris. Locus 3 was declared and it will consist of the entire 2 x 2 meter extension directly east of the trench. The soil is the same dark brown topsoil as locus 1 with a large amount of humus. Opening photographs were taken.

Opening elevations were taken for Locus 3 .

NW: 73 cm BD / 27.24 m AE

NE: 78 cm BD / 27.19 m AE

SE: 81 cm BD / 27.16 m AE

SW: 82 cm BD / 27.15 m AE

Work began in the original CA-81 trench, troweling and handpicking around the rocks and in the middle of the trench to better understand if the rocks are contemporaneous with the architectural structure in CA-70 .
