10 cm cut initiated over meters K-L-M/71-76.  Soil remains uniformly dark brown with heavy organic material and roots.  This cut produced roughly 1 cassette of worn tile fragments, as well as 3/4 of a latte box of pottery.  Two fragments of bronze were also found in this cut.

A second 10 cm cut was initiated over meters K-L-M/71-76, bringing the area down to roughly 25-30 cm below surface.  Soil is grayish in patches along this horizontal plane, with other areas remaining dark brown.  This cut will be completed tomrrow.  Two finds here have already been recorded; both are fragments of cavetti.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
