The cut in C-D/68-70 was brought down to a depth of ca. 75-85cm.  The soil was dark brown in color and contained a large amount of small rocks.  No change in soil has yet been encountered in these meters.  In addition, the stump in the northeast corner of E/70 was cleaned down.  Several large pieces of pan tile were removed fromt he roots of the stump.  Three quarters of a cassetta of small fragments of worn tile and a few pieces of coarse pottery were removed from the cut.


A second cut was taken in meters G-H/68-70 to a depth of ca. 15-25cm.  Soil in the cut was dark brown n color.  Starting at a depth of ca. 15cm, a cocnetration of small stones began to appear throughout the cut.  Three quarters of a cassetta of worn tile and a few pieces of coarse pottery were discovered in the cut.
