Work continued in meters G/47-44, bringing the area to a depth of 70-75 cm. Baulks were straightened through these meters. Light concentration of small fragmetns of pottery were found in these meters. The cut was then extended into meters G/43-42. Tile was exposed and defined. Stones infrequent and small throughout this area. Pottery infrequent as well.
Baulk cleaning in meters I/48-46 continued in an effort to facilitate the stratigraphic section of this area. Tile concentration in I/44 was cleaned. One large fragment of iron slag with large bronze inclusions was found in meter G/46.

Finished cut in G-H/42 to approximately 65 cm below the surface. Soil remained unchanged medium brown with plaster and carbon inclusions. Tile concentration was light and fragments were wonr. One fragment of coarseware with an impress cordon band was found in this cut (find number 4)
Began to draw the tile concentration in I/44, will be finished Monday.
