Daily Log - 10 Jul 09
AM- Began excavating Locus 4 in Sections A & B, with focus on stump at edge of Section B. Find from within stump will be separated out and designated Locus 5. Mottled soil appears about 75cm below datum in sections B & C; Section A still not seeing mottled soil.
Special Find #1: El 27.21; 59.30S/181.68E; bronze fragments (Locus 5)
PM- Mottled soil beginning to appear in Section A. The tree stump (locus 5) produced some random metal and pottery pieces but nothing more as of yet.

Pottery- 26 CW body, 2 rim, 1 base 5 impasto body, 6 FW impasto body
2 CW handle, 1 impasto base 1 CW rim, 1 handle
8 impasto body, 1 bucchero rim 1 FW impasto rim
